We are so excited to be married in California wine country this fall! As two wine devotees, we can not wait to share our big day with our friends and family in one of the world's foremost destinations for wine lovers. Our wedding will take place at Cline Cellars in Sonoma, California. We ask guests to begin arriving around 3:30 in the afternoon for our 4PM ceremony on the Adobe Mission patio at the vineyard.

Directly after the ceremony, we will be holding a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and a dinner/dancing reception to follow. Guests will choose from rack of lamb, grilled scallops and prawns, or wild mushroom ravioli in truffle butter. There will be an open bar with beer and wine flowing freely throughout the evening. The entire event will take place at Cline Cellars that afternoon. Dress in layers as the temperature at that time of year is known to drop quickly when the sun sets. At least everyone will have their "wine blanket" to keep them warm :)

The closest airports to Sonoma are San Francisco (SFO) and Oakland (OAK). A rental car is almost a necessity when traveling to wine country and we strongly encourage that you have one if you plan on doing any site seeing while you are there. Downtown San Francisco and Sonoma/Napa are both within an hour drive of SFO. Bredt and I plan on arriving in San Francisco on Wednesday evening and will be staying downtown until we make our way out to wine country on Friday morning.

A block of rooms under the name "Mixon-Covitz Wedding" has been reserved with a negotiated rate of $189/night at the Sheraton Sonoma County in Petaluma, approximately 8 miles from our wedding venue. If you choose to stay here, you will be able to take advantage of the shuttle that will be running to and from Cline Cellars from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM for our guests.
